She is the founder and managing partner of the Law Offices of Johanna Herrero where she is committed to providing compassionate and skillful legal service to immigrants throughout Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, Miami, Connecticut, and Florida. Johanna was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina and immigrated to the United States from an early age. Her dedication and passion for this field came from personal experience with the immigration process. Ms. Herrero has been representing immigrants in removal proceedings, with a strong focus on asylum and criminal cases, since 2011.
Throughout the years, Johanna has acquired extensive knowledge of the Immigration Laws through trial work and experience in the immigration court. Johanna represents many of the firm’s clients in defensive hearings before the Executive Office for Immigration Review and the Board of Immigration Appeals. With a passion that stems from her childhood, a large part of her practice consists of removal defense for illegal immigrants, helping asylum seekers and domestic violence victims through U and VAWA visas, and representing legal immigrants who have been convicted of complex crimes. Johanna’s experience additionally represents clients related to criminal cases that have Immigration consequences. Additionally the firm offers representation of clients in Massachusetts Family and Probate Court to handle complex family court matters and Guardianship of children. We offer a communicative approach to Family based issues. Through her strong defense skills, Johanna offers a unique representation that has set the standard in the courts of Boston and Miami. Johanna also handles the company’s large list of cases of detainees and complex cases involving issues of mandatory detention and bail. Johanna visits the ICE Detention Centers and provides legal advice to detainees. In addition, he handles the U and VAWA cases of the firm, for victims of domestic violence.
